UPDATE!: Seymour Duncan Screamin' Demon on it's way from eBay i'm excited! it's a boring black humbucker, but i think i'll like that look. and if i don't like the look i have 2 SD nickel covers that i can use.

now i just need a good neck pickup. thinking about sticking with the single coil theme of the dimarzio noiseless pickups. any other suggestions? i thought about trying a lace single, but i don't know how many different brands i want to mix all in one guitar

and a black pickguard on it's way from the W that should be here tuesday.

Seymour Duncan Cool Rails. I have a couple paired against some high output humbuckers and they are really nice.

I wouldn't know a good pickup if it jumped up and bit me in the arse, so I would believe.  I like EMGs afterall.  Anywho, I've owned a Screamin' Demon and was very dissapointed.  Could've been the guitar it was in, could've been the amp it was going through, could've been me.  It never sounded good by itself and it was really tough to get it to blend well with another pickup.

I have it in one of my stolen guitars (so I guess I should say had) and it's a nice pickup. Basically a lower mid focused, slightly higher output PAF style.

BTW, George Lynch likes it so it must be good.

sounds good! i'm looking for something that'll blend well with the single coils, so i don't want a seriously overpowering humbucker. sounds great! and like i said, if it's not for me i'll be disappointed, but i'll try to sell it for what i payed and see what else is out there (maybe a p-rails if this isn't what i'm looking for)

got the pickguard today. pickup should be arriving soon, and now i have to decide if it's covered or not. being a lynch-inspired strat i feel like it should be, but i might try it uncovered for a while then cover it later on. anyway i need a neck pickup, neck, and bridge now. along with random parts and screws and things getting there!

NOTE: the guitar's true color is MUCH closer to the bottom picture, which i really like. definitely a "pea green" sort of color
