Love it! Simple, clean, hot.
You might try a VV 54 pro in the bridge position to beef that up if you feel like you want a beefier pup option.

Noted! The VV 54 was actually on my list of potential pickups. So far I like the 3 Area 67s but I might change my mind sometime.
I've never really played with singlecoils at all, it feels very different but kinda refreshing at the same time.

I'm with you on that. It's definitely a whole new experience.
I like what you did w/ taking the color out of the background. nice touch. dig the guitar

awesome! love the simple and clean look. looks very "Bright Red" in that pic, instead of "Fiesta."
question though... how "hum canceling" are those area 67's? they're supposed to be hum canceling and don't need a RWRP in the middle (according to dimarzio). do they stop hum from high gain on one pickup, or in positions 2 or 4? very curious. i'll probably be going with a virtual solo middle pickup and an area 58 or 61 in the neck.

Nice pic! It's almost like you were in Photoshop doing the artsy selective color thing and got bored, so you airbrushed out the volume knob, trem arm, trem screws, string trees, and logo.
Sweet build, though. Clean, simple, and probably screams.

Wow, great looking build. At first take, it's very classic, but then you notice what's missing, making it even more streamlined.

The Areas are really as advertised, totally noiseless, but I'm not skilled enough in pickups electronic to really tell you .
They have "gentle" highs and smooth lows, they sound really good.

Well since I'm not a whammy bar user I figured I'd save some time on the setup with a hardtail, plus I HATE when my pinky keeps hitting a knob when I pick, that's why I only have 2 knobs
Also forgot to thank you guys for helping me with all the building process

Areas are a stacked bucker design - they cancel hum as well as any other bucker, so the whole idea of RWWP doesn't make sense - RWRP to which coil?

i always thought it was RW for the middle pickup in a strat design. so they would cancel out 60 cycle hum in the 2 and 4 position. could be completely wrong though. if there's one thing i will never claim to know a decent amount about it's the inner workings of a guitar. i can wire one up so it makes noise and i'm extremely happy with being able to do that much!

You got that part right, but the Areas only
sound
like a single coil. There's no need to RWRP the middle because it's done already - with itself. I would bet also that they just make a bridge and neck pickup. The bridge is wound a bit hotter and the middle pickup is just another neck pickup.
