yeah thats what i meant in my first post. they they don't need a RW because they're hum canceling. just confirming (since i'll have 2 hum canceling dimarzio single coils in my next build). so they're basically another style of single sized humbucker? i'm wondering if they'll sound like humbuckers, or be at all in the singlecoil family.
sorry for the complete thread hi-jack, by the way
but those area pickups (and all the dimarzio hum canceling) really have me interested

They sound exactly like singlecoils, don't worry about that

Just a little video I made tonight while testing some settings with the AC Booster, key word here is "
testing
"
This was recorded with a very mediocre camera, please do not make an opinion based on what you hear in the video, it has nothing to do with the real sound. I can say that all 3 Area 67s sound super nice, especially in the neck.
Hey by the way, I should name this hottie, any suggestions?

I've always dug strat position 3, 4, and 5.
Maybe I should do a H, S, S....
Anyways, beautiful strat. Because I have a love/hurt relationship with my guitars, I normally give them names that show that.
My alder natural finish strat is called the "Stratobastard", and yes, I'm currently getting a decal design made by a cousin.
As for this guitar, It's tasty, and you were burning up those licks, so how about Hot Tamale? Tamale for short?
Megan Fox?

Haha, Megan Fox
Not that Hot Tamale isn't a good name but since I speak mainly French, I need a name that sounds good both in English and French, "Tamale" is pronounced like "T'as mal" which means "You're hurt" or "Are you hurt" haha

That's a great looking guitar. Love how it only has 2 knobs. Love fiesta red - I'm currently doing a fiesta red Tele.
