1/2 Warmoth Baritone Tele

I've had this together for a while now but didn't take the time to post up a completed thread.
Fender MIM body, Bill Lawrence "keystone" pups, gotoh bridge / tuners, Warmoth baritone neck maple / pau ferro. Hand shaped bone nut, my first. Finishing thread here: http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=7167.0
It took me some time to get this set up right, the truss rod needed a lot of tweaking to get a straight neck and I took a lot, lot of time getting the nut right. Still want to get the fret ends dressed up, but it doesn't buzz much at all considering the low action / big strings I've got on it.
Sounds: These pickups are a fantastic value! They are really nice, detailed, great clean sound. My gripe is that they can't handle the lowest notes (weren't designed to) when overdriven (they are vintage output specs and very clear). They get really floppy. The neck pickup sounds more like a super clear, hi-fi type strat pickup than it does a tele neck pup. The bridge is just great. The weird thing is, even though they are trad single coils, they are the quietest SCs I've ever used. Not sure what magic that is. For a clean sounding tele, I highly recommend these regardless of price. I'll post a clip or two one day.

That's exactly what it feels like too - a long-legged woman. With a southern accent. Every time I play it, I end up on some twangy country-type sound.

This is awesome. Couple of questions -

Did you have to buy a different ferrule for the lowest string or will it just fit in a normal ferrule? Also heard of some people having to enlarge the string-through-body hole to accomodate the lowest string. Ditto for having to 'drill out' the tuner on the lowest string to accmodate the largest string.

I am about to embark of a Warmoth bari-tele as my 2nd project and find that information on baritone builds is pretty sparse. I will be having my tech do the setting up and neck and fret work but I want to make sure I order the right stuff. Btw, what gauge of strings and which tuning are you using?
