I really like that one too.  I want an SG with that wood and finish.  It looks like smoke.

Yeah I know, but it's just out of reach. I probably can't even justify spending $699, but I don't think I'd be able to stop myself - who needs a bathroom remodel anyway? We'll see if it makes it past the holidays then maybe I can make it happen.

I think on the inside I'm just wishing someone would just buy it. Then I could own it vicariously through them at no cost.

That's how I feel about the purple flame maple strat body that's in the showcase right now.  It's already not too bad price wise, but I can't spend the money.  If it goes down in price though, I think I'll have to get it.

I would prefer it without the magenta, but it is a beauty of a purple geetar...

Yeah, that's the one.  I'm gonna have to kick myself if someone else gets it because I really like it with the magenta burst, and since that's a non-standard finish, I wouldn't be able to order it.

It may not be a standard finish, but I can't see any reason why Warmoth wouldn't try to duplicate it for you.

True, but other than the color combination, I don't see anything "custom" about it. Magenta with a purple burst shouldn't be a problem. But who knows?

I think they've said they could do a custom color before. They just have to have the paint or something. The trick is calling, I guess.

I actually called them at one point and asked if they could do a blue burst with a leeetle extra yellow in it to make it more of a teal color, and they said no.  So I'm not overly hopeful.
