What's up with the nut on this?  No locks?

Im sending the neck to be routed for a floyd nut. Schaller locking tuners seemed good in theory but was'nt that good in practise.
If I pull up or dive too much it goes out of tune.

Looks great.  While the neck is in you should darken the floyd route with a little poly to try to get it to match the binding!  Great guitar!!

Here's some more pictures just before it goes for a "Nut job" just for good measure.

I put some black felt in the floyd cavity wich seems to improve the looks a little bit.

Nice work. let us know how it plays once the setup is finished.

Tele/Taylor players tend to be better looking, get more babes, drive nicer cars,
get faster promotions, sound better, and get better paying gigs than those poor guitar players who don't play Taylors / Telecasters!

Oh man. It plays like butter  It's the best guitar I have ever had.
My next guitar is definitely going to be another Warmoth.

Here it is with the floyd nut installed. Theres a lot of metal on the headstock now. Floyd nut, string tree, heavy locking tuners, allenkey holder.
The headstock now resonates like crazy

This is what I would call a subtle beauty. What I mean by that is probably from a distance you don't really see the figure in the wood etc... but then you walk up on it and go "DAAAAAAM!!!"  I really really like this guitar. Don't get me wrong, I like the woods that are really highly figured but this one has all the figuring without all the flash. Beautiful guitar, man, just beautiful.

Sweet. I agree, although I'm not a fan, the gold hardware works on this guitar.

How do you like the Steve Lukather EMG's?

I have all kind of vintage and modern pickups on my other guitars, so thought I'd try some EMG's for a change.
I think they are a little bit different than Im used to but they are good sounding pickups.
