    Natural ash soloist.

Agree. Personally I prefer no skunk stripe, especially on figured necks, but Warmoth offers this option only on modern construction necks. They do offer ebony for an upcharge. I'm curious, why you chose heel adjustment?

Nuvola: the copper-leaf, custom "offset telecaster"

Congratulations on making a different guitar.

    King V body

They won't do it but yes, that's where it should be and Jackson is doing it right. The jack location and where you'll put the strap buttons are crucial for any V guitar, personally if I was ordering a V body I'd have it unfinished and I (or a tech to be precise) would rout for the correct jack...

    New Build Idea Check

Even though I believe the pickups, the pots and the amps/speakers/pedals will affect the sound more than the woods, Korina will always be my wood of choice if I had the option, I recommend it. You'll never know until you try it yourself and experiment with it. I have a Telecaster with Korina -...

    ANNOUNCEMENT: Changes are coming....

I hope a darker theme will be an option at some point...soon.

Hamer Chaparral Restoration (Before & After)

Hamer was THE boutique builder in the 70's. Not that the original BC Rich guitars were not good but Hamer guitars were more traditional aesthetically. They built great guitars and the boomerang inlays are one of the coolest inlays.

    CBS Stealth Strat Update #2

The decal was great, it fitted the guitar.

    Wenge Fretboard

Yes and no. I have a Wenge neck and the open pores are not ideal but a little oil solves the problem. My tech is using oil & wax but wax makes it sticky and I don't like it.

Warmoth discontinues Butterscotch Blonde and Mary Kay White

I agree white pearl is a beautiful color, I like the depth metallic colors have and most times I would choose a metallic over a solid unless I wanted a vintage correct guitar. I was never interested in butterscotch blond because of how common it is in the guitar world. Actually I like the Gibson...

    Speakers for cabinet build

If you can afford it try the Alnico Cream, many people say it excels in clean & dirty sounds. I love clean tones on alnico speakers, I have a Jensen Blackbird (the first high powered alnico speaker in the market) that I like a lot and I'm guessing the Celestion Cream is similar.

im in a world of P90

I consider P90's & Filtetrons the most versatile pickups, unlike most strat & PAF type HB's they excel in both clean & dirty sound. I haven't played with a P90 I didn't like. I have played with the Suhr set, I have a bridge P90 in my PRS SE and a Lollar neck (-5% wound) in my Warmoth Thinline, I...

    Most similar to Suhr's Burst?

Bursts differ even those with the same name. Email this photo (with your order number) to Warmoth as an example of the type of burst you want.

New Warmoth website feedback from old timers seen negative.

My opinion is based only on the desktop version: I was expecting more after all the years waiting, aesthetically it looks simpler than the old site, it seems to me it's designed with the phone user in mind putting second the computer user. I'm a showcase fan (and buyer in the past) and I don't...

Asymmetric neck contour / profiles (SRV, Wolfgang).....Why not more popular?

I have experience with the SRV of a friend, it's my favorite shape by I found it thin initially. Over the years I switched from the FAT to the 59 shape and now it's fine for my hand. If I was starting now all my necks would be SRV. Outside the specific dimensions the asymmetric contour feels...

    Channel bound necks

I like bound necks and channel bound are even cooler. I wanted to get one of those a few years ago when Fender released the channel bound series but at $600+ before shipping & customs fees I declined. Plus I had zero options. Unless a major player starts playing guitars with channel bound necks...

Suggestions for metal pickups that have a good sound when split

You don't need but it's preferable, if you have the choice  get trembuckers (f spaced) pickups. The Aldrich model was done with LPs in mind since Doug is playing a Les Paul 90%. I like Suhr pickups and recommend them, I haven't played with the Aldrich but I have played with others and all were...

    Help me love Sherwood green!

One of my favorite metallic colors is British Racing Green or Bullitt Green (from the movie). Sherwood Green is close and judging from the various strats I have seen I would pair it with a black (B-W-B) pickguard and dark colored fretboard. I like the first two materials you posted but it's...

    Initial Questions

Agree. Mooncaster & ES-335 are constructed in a different way. If you want the looks or you believe only pickups matter go for it.
