I see your point, however, allow me to ask if you've ever done this procedure on a pre-built neck ? This can open up a whole nutter can of worms you see. Besides the reshaping and alignment issues, there's the pickup location to consider. The adjustment for the truss rod, etc. All probably...
Quite so Stratamania. The neck is the same as any Warmoth neck as far as length. It fits into the same neck pocket as normal. The difference is in the length between the neck pocket and the bridge location. The body is 7/8 normal size, therefore the distance between the pocket and the bridge...
I am considering that myself, thanks for the suggestion. They make a tail that's the same, just longer. I'm looking at getting one of those and doing something like Gibson did on the Trini and the Howard Roberts models.............. :headbang:
LoL. Don't worry, it'll probably be June sometime before I can even begin the finish. The weather around here isn't suitable for finishing yet and I don't have the option of controlling the environment in my shop that well............... :turtle:
Partly guess work, but mainly by laying a straight edge on top of the frets and seeing where that line hits the bridge. Then measuring from the point of intersect to the top of the bridge. It's not precision, but it get's you in the ballpark........... :icon_thumright:
