There were other issues with the body BTW - wrong dimensions for the pickup routes, really soft wood, wrong hole for the side jack, etc. In the end I got it done, but it was a lot of work + patience.

I've attempted it. I had to re-route the neck pocket to get it done.

Another Mayfly BC30 spotted in the wild! This time the band was doing a tribute to the Beatles Abby Road. They took care of every detail live (like the hammer sounds in 'maxwell's silver hammer') and they sounded perfect. The guitarist had perfect phrasing and of course perfect tone :)

as Mr DarkSide has said, the boatneck is more of a soft V, whereas the 59 is more of a C. I've tried both and ended up with the boatneck. I actually have 7 guitars with a boatneck on them. For me, life is good :)

Weeeel, if the dent is not that big you could try to steam it out using the old wet rag and soldering iron trick. Has to be bare wood mind you. This trick as worked for me multiple times. Then sell the body locally. Or you can send that body to me...
