"No, Warmoth can choose for me."

Well you ain’t getting a high grade one without paying, especially now.

    Where Is Everybody?...

Yeah that’s basically it. I’m self employed (physiotherapist) and kept my prices pretty much the same in the last 4 yrs. I have less work than I had a year ago and everything is more expensive, people cut expenses big time, I guess right now for a lot of us buying the umpteenth flame guitar neck...

    Where Is Everybody?...

Eh, I haven’t got much to say too, and the recent rise of the dollar vs euro and general inflation made warmoth less sensible for a European, I guess. I’m putting together my latest build which is a HSH soloist, but I’ll post It once it’s ready. I would need a neck for a strat but I’m on pause...

    Neck profile

I’d never had guessed LP necks to be asymmetrical.

So, "unofficial warmoth" is looking more like "official" warmoth.

Well, to be fair it became somewhat better now, it doesn’t freeze up anymore when you try to put in some search filters in the showcase, it’s just a bit slow.

So, "unofficial warmoth" is looking more like "official" warmoth.

Doubt. I said a couple of times the new website was pretty bad and the post disappeared in the void after a while. Not that it makes much of a difference, but it is what it is.

    Order On Hold?

Thinking any criticism must be a troll is not a great stance. Never understood the brand loyalty some people have...

    Order On Hold?

Mind that I have 4 warmoth builds and I like them, but still today’s market is what it is.

    Order On Hold?

I think you’re right, at the same time I feel it’s an extremely short sighted stance from their part. Never in the history of electric guitar we had the same offer of very diverse instruments at every price point. I feel that, aside from *wanting* to build yourself a partscasters, nowdays either...

    Order On Hold?

Lol I personally had 2 orders not pass QC, I highly doubt 12 ever is an even slightly accurate number.

    Wet Sanding help...

Point 2 is the only sound one imo, considering all the problems introduced by using water vs spirits.

Why not wet sand using mineral spirits?

Best Practise for Humbucker Mounting directly to wood

I think the only viable way to use screws that fit the original hb baseplate threads would be putting threaded inserts in the hb cavity and screw the original hb screws in the inserts. Using wood screws directly into the wood, which is what i do too btw, i wouldn't trust screws so small to pass...

Alnico 4/5 in pearly gates neck?

I have a pearly gates neck i don't really love because of its too loose in the bass and sounds rather bad split. I was thinking of using it in a hsh build with a bare knuckle true grit center and a 59 custom hybrid bridge. I have both al4 and al5 magnets lying around, would it make a noticeable...

How much bigger is the Wolfgang vs standard thin?

I own 4 Wolfgang necks and this is indeed incorrect. It is clearly asymmetrical even by looking at it, and it's quite a bit beefier than a standard thin especially towards the 12th fret, bigger than a Ibanez AZ neck for reference. Best warmoth neck profile imo, but it's down to taste.

    New Warmoth Site Bug Megathread

Am I the only one having a very hard time using filters in the showcase? 9 times out of 10 if I try to apply some kind of filter (weight, price, showing order or whatever) the site freeze while trying to reload the page. Happens from multiple devices and using different internet connection, so...

Fret Leveling, Crowning, Polishing - Dos and Donts

Personally i wouldn't even use 220 to begin with. 320 or 400 are plenty fast enough even with SS frets, even on a pretty botched fret job you actually have to remove very little material.
