    Ganged on-off-on and on-on-on switch?

@stratamania: This is not to sound ungrateful and I apologize if it somehow feels too familiar or in any way condescending as that is not my intention. I honestly thought this thread was done multiple posts ago. I was going to use 2 switches with a possible attempt at joining them with a...

    Ganged on-off-on and on-on-on switch?

A 3-way 4pdt (on/on/on) switch would handle the single coils and their parallel connections fine. Likewise, it would handle the individual coils of the bridge humbucker fine. However, the problem is then reversed to how to get a series connection for the humbucker in the middle switch position...

    Ganged on-off-on and on-on-on switch?

Indeed, thank you. I was thinking of something like that. It's hard to say what I would use without the specific switches in front of me. Maybe I could layer excess material from the pickup pickguard to make the bar. If one of the switches was instead a normal size 3-way switch, maybe I could...

    Ganged on-off-on and on-on-on switch?

That authority being your years of pedal and guitar electronics, Mayfly. Understood. Fortunately, the workaround is to just drill two holes for two separate switches. It works fine and it's still easy to wire. It's just slightly more awkward to play. Anyway, here's a diagram of the...

    Omitting body routing options

I've wondered about this myself. It seems even more of an issue with body blanks. Neck, pickup, and bridge routes are important enough to have Warmoth do professionally, but forcing the control route dictates the shape of the guitar... which is exactly what one wishes to avoid by purchasing a...

    Ganged on-off-on and on-on-on switch?

No, the guitar will not be merely HSS. Picture one guitar with a swimming pool route or comparable routing overlays suitable for a pickguard, but with rear-routed controls. Pickup configurations will vary (HH, HSS, etc.), but the control holes drilled will be constant. Assume 4 coils divided...

    Ganged on-off-on and on-on-on switch?

Google has failed me. Does anyone know of a ganged on-off-on and on-on-on switch? In other words, I'm looking for two differing internal switches with a single physical handle as the interface. I'm trying to find my ideal control route for multiple pickup configurations so I'm not as focused on...

    Account help?

Sorry, I jumped the gun and had to delete my reply. This post displays fine. There is something up with the Kitty Caster thread though. I get a blank page.

Really wish I went with mini pots

I've seen videos where others had a problem with that lack of space and ended up using a dremel to add wiggle room. The pickguard and shielding tape hide the sin. I'm curious about the fit myself because I have a build planned with a concentric pot in that corner on a hybrid tele.

    New Warmoth Site Bug Megathread

Yeah, Apricot Flake was the one I was missing. I kept waiting for someone to bring it up, but I guess they're just unannounced changes. I'm curious whether it's for good or just a current shortage issue.

    Virtual Jeff PRO

I was aiming for a Stetsbar. Now I may have to spend an additional $200 or so to get one of these instead. On the bright side, it's interchangeable so I could also slap it on my current guitar instead of replacing its whole trem system. Not to mention the extra effects/mimicry it can do...

    Fretboard Inlays

I apologize for not having the experience for a direct answer (someone else here likely will), but the modder in me wishes to point out that there are also vinyl decals for use as faux fret inlays. They're relatively inexpensive, you can do them yourself, and you can remove them should you want...

    Top-Rout Musiclander bodies

Along those lines, a Musiclander body at a 24" scale could use a clone of the 2019 Japanese rerelease with the switch, use the Mustang control plate directly, and then work with Mustang/Jaguar necks. That would allow Warmoth to avoid arbitrary design decisions. Granted, I don't care for the gap...

    Top-Rout Musiclander bodies

I would also appreciate a top-routed Musiclander option. However, I would not suggest the Mustang route even if it was scaled up properly. First, Warmoth's 25.5" Musiclander variant offers up to 3 pickups. The Mustang's 2 pickup rout won't do, but an additional option for a universal swimming...

Check my work? Free-way Ultra HH Series Phase Split '50s 2V2T

Not quite, but 3x3-05 2PU 2Pot A does contain the schematic I got from StewMac so I can confirm the wiring on the switch itself wasn't pulled from someone as clueless as me. I must have missed it focusing on the 4 pot file. Thanks. :)

Check my work? Free-way Ultra HH Series Phase Split '50s 2V2T

Honestly, the out of phase stuff in position 5 was just something I left from the original and figured I could replace later. I excused it thinking it would help justify my 2V2T controls further. I likely would have swapped it with inner coils (either series or parallel) if I could have figured...

Check my work? Free-way Ultra HH Series Phase Split '50s 2V2T

Please check my work. This is the first wiring diagram I've attempted. :binkybaby: I started with the HH Series Phase Split 1V1T diagram offered in this PDF on StewMac. It claims to be humbucking in all positions. I flipped the neck pickup to use outer coils. Then I used the 3x3-05 2PU 4Pot PDF...

Tips for putting single coil pickups in humbucker slots?

@stratamania Doh. Sorry, I threw myself focusing too hard on the wrong sentence. I would indeed try to get the most out of the wood-mounted pickups I initially get. I'd be quite happy using Pegasus & Sentient humbuckers. (I have ideas for the middle whether I wire it or not.) I'm just trying to...

Tips for putting single coil pickups in humbucker slots?

I'd be just as happy cutting my own pickguard design to make it better looking. A sheet for 10s of dollars doesn't scare me like a body finish that's 100s.  (Also, I apologize for not directing my reply as those links were probably more aimed at rick2 as proof I have indeed done some research...

Tips for putting single coil pickups in humbucker slots?

To be clear, the rings I was talking about were things like this mLaval Humbucker to Strat Style Pickup Adapter Ring and this Allparts Humbucker to Single Coil Pickup Conversion Ring. I had hoped I could just slap them (or a custom pickguard) on when the time came and be done with it.
