Strat neck on a Tele body

I know it can work (https://warmoth.com/guitar-neck-fit), but curious if there are any potential issues to be aware of since it's not an exact fit. Thanks in advance for the collective wisdom!

How many pieces is a roasted swamp ash body?

Regular swamp ash has a 1-piece option but roasted swamp ash does not. Also didn't see any 1-piece roasted swamp ash bodies in stock. Is it possible to get one?

Fully Roasted Strat, with Tru Oil Finish

Looks awesome! May I ask how much tru oil you ended up using? I may do something similar and want to figure out how much tru oil to buy.

Why no roasted maple body option?

You think an unfinished body would really be ok? I'm tempted...

Why no roasted maple body option?

Yeah I'm leaning toward just getting a roasted swamp ash and then hitting it with a few coats of tru oil if necessary.

Why no roasted maple body option?

Because I know that roasted maple necks don't require finish. But as I have said...

Why no roasted maple body option?

I'm interested in an unfinished roasted body if it would spare me the cost and time of going through the paint department. Roasted maple necks don't require a finish so I was hoping a roasted maple body wouldn't either. Or any roasted wood for that matter.

Why no roasted maple body option?

Makes sense. I guess the other obvious next question is - is it feasible to use an unfinished roasted ash/pine/alder body, or do those require a finish for some reason that doesn't apply to maple?

Why no roasted maple body option?

Why the difference in demand for roasted ash/pine/alder vs roasted maple? They do sell unroasted maple bodies. Good point about the in-house - I had assumed they roasted in house but it's probably not the case.

Why no roasted maple body option?

I'm not really sure. All I know if that roasted maple necks are supposedly similar in sound to regular maple necks, slightly lighter, do not require a finish, and indeed more rigid. I'm curious because it could be a pretty cheap way to get a decent body to spec. But mostly just want to...

Why no roasted maple body option?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but roasted wood is supposed to retain the sonic properties of the unroasted wood. At least that's what Warmoth claims. [That being said, I also don't believe wood actually makes a significant difference in tone. Don't @ me.] It appears Warmoth charges $70 for...

    Website Bugs and Feature Requests

I've had some issues with the lam top not rendering properly. It shows up initially but disappears when you make tweaks (e.g., add binding, or play around with paint options, etc.) and you just see the core wood.

New Video: Exotic Neck Wood Shootout

Sorry but it doesn't seem like you know what you're talking about. You wouldn't need to show (nor have any reason to assume) that two of the same type would be identical. In fact, there would almost necessarily be variance between any objective parameters in otherwise 'identical' builds...

New Video: Exotic Neck Wood Shootout

It may not be very scientific but I don't think it's fair to call it useless.
