This was a lesson in drum sculpting with heavy compression... as is usual, I grab a MIDI drum track (or make one), slap Get Good Drums kit on it and shape from there.

The "final" final. For now... :lol: Manually (via evil MIDI grid) added a bass line and synth. Remixed, EQ'd etc

Seven years ago I did a multitrack version of this tune; re-doing it again with newer studio gear & knowledge. My fingers remember a lot of it but definitely had to practice parts over and over; still work in progress. And I haven't touched the 2nd part of the song; let alone the solos yet...
