I will keep my very first two Warmoth LP's. I'll revamp the neck/headstock of one, add a new bridge and pickups, but that's it. No new lacquer, no nothing. Just making them usable. But the rest? Gone. And I'm happy for it.

Warmoth is a great blank slate for the future. I discovered that to make a warmoth go from good to absolutely ridiculously amazing, a lot of work has to go in it, like leveling, crowning, polishing frets, doing the fret ends etc. It's fairly OK out of the box but you need to do a lot of work.

I have 6 more I'll be adding. 2000 for all 10. 9 will be in playable condition, #10 would be a project. Lots of flamed maple and koa. With pickups and most with bridges and tuners. I'm done. I can't keep these anymore.

The idea that, almost romantically, a body and neck are made 'together', is funny at best and ridiculous at worst. There's absolutely nothing 'wrong' with a Warmoth as a guitar. It's a great blank sleight for you to work your own magic on, like nuts, fret ends, fretboard rolling, etcetera...
