Hmmm, good call, I actually already have a reamer. I guess I was thinking drill b/c it's a fairly large diameter difference. But reaming would definitely help prevent the finish cracking and chipping off something terrible...
Selector switch doesn't fit through the hole... Did I get the wrong size or fail to realize that I needed to drill the hole bigger? The latter of which should have been done prior to finishing:/

I've noticed a similar problem (slight hissing noise) with my set up. I just chalked it up to the 1-spot charger I'm currently using. However now I'm going to investigate everything per the comments mentioned above....good info.
Used Fender mediums for ever. They always worked so I never bothered trying anything else. Then I got a Dunlop variety pack and found my one of choice....the purple dinosaur 0.96mm. It's got a slight texture to it that my fingers seem to love. I also use the Jazz III for intricate picking.
I always seem to associate duo's with acoustic guitars (that's not a bad thing)...and I especially like when rock/punk/indie songs are stripped down and played acoustically. Using a jazzbox or one electric could help change up the dynamic a bit. You can always dirty up the acoustic signals to...
