very nice  :icon_thumright:
what finish are you doing ... tobacco burst?

Hi Stew,

For the body finish, I want a natural, kinda raw feel, so I'll start with Tung oil. After that I am not sure if I apply something else to get a satin finish. I'll figure it out as I go along. On the neck I am thinking Tru-Oil or Behlen Self Sealing Master Gel.

I have two tobacco burst Fender Precisions (a sweet 66 Fender with a fretless rosewood neck, and a 71 Fender with a maple neck)  so I am looking for something new.

Hey! Welcome aboard!

This is going to be very nice! Black Korina is one of the most enjoyed woods here, this is good way to start here  :icon_biggrin:

Thanks NonsenseTele :)  I am excited to work with this wood, and twice as interested in the sound I'll get from this bass. It is my first 5 string, and I am curious what the all brass Hipshot bridge, Seymour Duncan pickups and an on board EQ will bring.

Looks beautiful. The BK you got on that body especially looks outstanding.

That flame on the neck is fantastic & the body is obviously gorgeous as well, great choices!

Thanks Jack  :)
