No, the body was finished by Warmoth and the pocket is clean. The Warmoth neck I finished with tung oil.

I think if both your pocket has warmoth finish and you have finished the neck, you probably have to do some minor sanding, both on neck and pocket, perhaps one of the luthier will chime in. Just curious, are you using jazzmaster radius? I am using 10-16

Same, 10-16 radius. I have an idea what my problem is and would prefer not to shim if I do not need to. Thanks again.
