I had a feeling as soon as I asked about EMGs they would be something else that fits that rout. Much neater I think than the standard Strat shape in a top rout. Cream should go well.

Yes, I don't like the route to accommodate the flat work on regular Strat pickups.  I looked to see if the dimensions for EMG would accommodate a pickup with a similar profile. Luckily, SD Stacks have just about the same footprint and I like the way they sound.  Just have to figure out how to mount them.
