What is the difference between...

The plunge cuts, Woodmt means you can just screw the humbuckers too the wood without using Rings, and the I think brdg means brigde. Meaning it would have plunge cuts, so you will have to use rings, or plug the holes up.
 
Yep, woodmount means the pups mount directly to the wood. No trim rings.

The rout is the same shape, but a consistent depth, as mentioned, without the plunge cuts which would accommodate the long mounting screws that would normally go through the ears of the pickup.
 
There are some guys who say that there is a difference in tone between woodmount and pickguard/mounting-ring mounted pickups.
Does anyone agree with that?
I never made an A/B test...

I think it's likely that the relative humidity in the room would make a larger difference.
