3 pickup pbass

I am looking at making a 3 pickup bass.  With three pbass pickups.  I was considering volume knobs for each one and then a tone knob.  Are there any inherent problems with that setup?

Quirky behaviors when adjusting the volumes, due to varying impedance loads on the coils.

By far, the most practical way to do three pickups is with a 5 way Strat switch.

what jack hole to pick for a model t build that is going to have a emg preamp in it?

I think I am going with a blend and a minitoggle system

Whichever one you want. It's a personal preference.

line6, you are the best

I don't really care about what kind so much other than maybe aesthetics but just wanted to make sure they would fit with the emg output stuff

If the 7/8" hole is an available option, I'd recommend it. The 3/4" can be a bit tight with some sockets (and the deep panel jacks aren't always the most reliable).

Well, if its all the same to you, then I would suggest a quality open-frame panel-mount jack. They will outlast other types of jacks.

On a bass with many pickups/coils, I prefer to use an on/off switch for each pickup/coil IF IF IF all the pickups are the same type.  Typically I also use a blender between bridges and necks but it doesn't see much use.  When the pickups are different types, multiple volumes is the way to go.
