I'm getting back into my Mustang project that stalled out for a long while.

I want to use just one of the standard Mustang switches as a regular neck/both/bridge switch. I do NOT know how to hook up each of the eight lugs on the switch to do this.

Have a look at this article from Premier guitar.
If you just want to use one of the switches to act as the selector you could connect the hot leads from the pickups to the right switch in the picture (where the green wires are connected).
That should act as the selector switch.

Looks like it was filmed in my old neighborhood.  In the old days it was section 8 housing, bums, prostitutes ... now it's trust fund babies.

Tweed - So sorry I hijacked the thread and it got weird there with Sulu and the ambiguously gay duo.  Can somebody please answer the poor guys question?  I would just have to Google guitar electronics to find an answer.  :icon_jokercolor:

Nah, Logrinn got me all hooked up! Check out his YouTube channel, by the way.

I just found this.

That's an excellent article and shows all the ways you could use such a switch (ways I've never thought about).

And thanks for the Youtube mention :icon_thumright:
