Tele bridge pickup pickguard rout

Put a baseplate on an overwound strat bridge pu, same basic effect from what I can tell. Fralin and Acme sell individual baseplates for strat pups.

I would love to put a tele bridge p/u in a strat without swapping out the bridge.

You can have a custom strat pickguard made for the tele cut out and keep your bridge, you might have to route a bit of wood for the tele pickup but not much. I have thought about doing this too, since I think a stock strat pickup in the bridge position is thin...

The custom pickguard I have found so far is about $40, not to mention shipping overseas. I have a specific pickup in mind, the SD Hot Stack for tele. I love that thing.

Routing the body I don't mind, and I may just get a pickguard and rout it my darn self. The problem is that even using a bridge as a template, it won't be 'factory' since I am not as good as CNC with that stuff.

I just figured it might not be a real challenge to program that rout into the pickguard program.

I may try the baseplate method, though the tele HS is a bit wider than the strat pickup.
