This is a new body for an old canary/bloodwood neck. I got the Hipshot bridge with the new routing option. The Purple/Gold pickups are Dimarzio Humbucker from Hell and PAF Pro.

Here it is next to a Danish Oil walnut plank. The finish will darken the body. Should I stain it first?

I say no stain unless you are going for a dye/color otherwise it will be super brown. That wood has enough interest by itself. However, I am guilty of many redo finishes myself so I would trust Raggamuffin here!
